    📿 How is it worshipped?

Devotees wrap raw thread or Mouli around the tree's trunk while circling it, offer water and sweets, and recite or listen to the story of Savitri and Satyavan. In some regions, it's also customary to offer soaked chickpeas and fruits at the base of the tree.

    📅 When is it worshipped?

Vat Savitri Vrat is observed on the Amavasya (new moon, Purnima/full moon in some regions) of the Jyeshtha month. Worshipping the Banyan tree on Mondays is also considered auspicious.
