    History

The Yadagirigutta Temple sits atop a hill where Lord Narasimha is worshipped in five distinct forms — Jwala Narasimha, Gandaberunda Narasimha, Yoganand Narasimha, Ugra Narasimha, and Lakshmi Narasimha — across cave shrines within the same complex. The original cave-worship tradition is ancient, and the site has undergone a massive redevelopment by the Telangana state government in recent years.

    Spiritual significance

The temple is counted among Telangana's most important Vaishnava shrines, and the state government has been developing the wider area as "Yadadri," a grand spiritual township.
