    History

The Mansa Devi temple in Haridwar sits atop Bilwa Parvat, part of the Shivalik hills, offering sweeping views of the Ganga and the town below. Goddess Mansa is regarded as a daughter of sage Kashyapa and is worshipped especially as a wish-fulfilling deity — devotees tie a thread to a tree branch here to make a wish, returning to untie it once the wish is granted.

    Spiritual significance

Mansa Devi is an important stop on Haridwar's panch-tirtha circuit, and an "Udan Khatola" ropeway service is available for the climb.
