    History

    The Shahji temple was built in 1876 by Shah Kundan Lal, a wealthy jeweller from Lucknow. Its most distinctive feature is a set of twelve spiralled marble pillars, said to have been brought from Lucknow, along with ornate Belgian cut-glass chandeliers hanging from the ceiling.
